‘Lisabi: The Uprising’, a Yoruba epic movie directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, has topped the Netflix film chart in Nigeria.
Set in the ancient 18th century Yoruba history, “Lisabi: The Uprising”, tells the gripping tale of Lisabi Akala, an Egba warrior who led a successful revolt against the oppressive rule of the Oyo Empire.
The star studded epic movie has been on top of the chart since its release on September 27.
‘Hitman’, an action movie about a generically enhanced assassin caught in a deadly double cross came in at second, while ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ is ranked third on the chart.
