Noble Court: A New Symbol of Hope for Ogun Youth, Courtesy of the Adeola Ajayi Foundation

In a powerful move blending sports, education, and community upliftment, the Adeola Ajayi Foundation has commissioned Noble Court, a newly built basketball facility in Sango Otta, Ogun State.
The court’s unveiling drew a vibrant crowd and featured exhibition games, training sessions, and heartfelt tributes from local leaders and international partners.

A Court With a Cause
Founded by former athlete and philanthropist Adeola Ajayi, the foundation aims to empower underprivileged youth through structured sports programs and academic support.
“This is more than a basketball court,” said Mr. Ajayi at the commissioning ceremony. “It’s a platform for dreams, a tribute to legacy, and a place of transformation.”
Named in honour of his late father, Idowu Ajayi—fondly remembered as “ID Noble”—the facility reflects core values the foundation upholds: discipline, dignity, and service.

Community-Driven Construction
Noble Court was brought to life with the support of Nigerian-led construction and design teams. Spearheaded by Seyi Ayodele of Nuthpole, the project also received critical backing from Ajayi’s siblings, Shola and Ademola, and other close allies.
Among its features:
- A pro-level basketball court
- Spectator seating
- A multipurpose hall — Dr. Jackie’s Hall of Excellence — named after longtime mentor, Dr. Jacqueline Walters
Also honoured in the facility is Coach Curtis Berry, who played a key role in Ajayi’s development during his time in the U.S. The “Berry Champion Seats” are dedicated to his legacy of mentorship in youth sports.
Beyond the Court: Education and Opportunity
The foundation’s impact goes far beyond basketball. With prior efforts like equipment drives and training camps under its belt, the AOA Foundation is expanding into education-focused initiatives.
Recent highlights include:
- A scholarship program in development
- A school supply campaign that reached 200 students with backpacks and learning materials
“Education remains central to everything we do,” Ajayi noted. “We’re not just shaping athletes—we’re nurturing leaders.”
A Vision for Africa
When asked about potential political ambitions, Mr. Ajayi was clear: “This is about people, not politics. We’re building platforms where hope can thrive.”
Noble Court is the first of many projects Ajayi hopes to replicate across Nigeria and the continent. The goal? To harness basketball as a tool for empowerment, inclusion, and transformation.
“This is just the beginning,” he said. “Every child deserves the chance to dream, grow, and succeed—regardless of where they’re born.”

Community Reactions
The project has already sparked excitement and pride in the community.
Kemi Olatunji, a local resident, said:
“This court is more than just a sports facility — it’s a beacon of hope for our youth. We’re grateful to the Adeola Ajayi Foundation for bringing such a meaningful project to our doorstep.”
Samuel Adeyemi, a 17-year-old aspiring player, couldn’t hide his excitement:
“Playing on a real court like this has always been a dream. I feel seen, I feel motivated, and I now believe I too can make it to the top.”
