Super Eagles arrive at Abidjan for AFCON qualifiers

As the Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin Republic draws near, eight of the 23 invited players have arrived camp in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire for the encounter.
The players are Amas Obasogie, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Moses Simon, Bruno Onyemaechi, Samuel Chukwueze, Gabriel Osho, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Maduka Okoye.
According to Super Eagles Media officer, Promise Efogeh, more players were expected to arrive on Monday night.
“As at 10.30pm, eight of them are in but we are certain to have a full house on Tuesday”.
The match is billed for Thursday in continuation of the qualifying series for Morocco 2025.
Eagles are currently top of the group with 10 points from four matches and they need just one point to confirm Nigeria’s place at the continental football showpiece.
