Webber Engineering to Add Flair to FIBA Africa Zone 3 Academies Tournament

Leading Nigerian basketball equipment brand, Webber Floors and Hoops, has announced plans to elevate the spectacle of the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Academies Tournament with a vibrant blend of sport and entertainment.
The tournament, scheduled to hold from July 4 to 8, 2025, will see Webber Floors and Hoops deliver a comprehensive sponsorship package that includes branded match balls, a state-of-the-art playing floor, scoreboard, and a 24-second shot clock—all supplied by the homegrown company.
These includes Brand new Webber Branded Basketballs which will serve as Official Balls of the Tournament.
Opeyemi Babalola, Chief Executive Officer of Webber Floors and Hoops and Chairman of the Osun State Basketball Association, confirmed that the company is also preparing to excite fans with an electrifying dunk show.
“Beyond the technical support with branded balls, floor, scoreboard, and shot clock—we will thrill fans with an outstanding dunk show. Basketball is not just a game; it’s entertainment. We want the audience to experience the full package,” Babalola said.
He added that the Dolphins Basketball Court, main of venue for the tournament, will be adorned with fresh branding to project Nigeria’s leadership in African basketball.
The FIBA Africa Zone 3 Academies Tournament is expected to feature over 30 youth teams from across the region, with matches hosted at the Dolphins and Warriors basketball courts in Lagos.
Other supporters that include President of the Nigerian Olympian Association, Mr. Olumide Oyedeji, Oly, has also promised to donate some trophies in support of the event.
