2 Children Dead In Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway Accident

Two children were killed in a lone accident at the Ewekoro Local Government Area of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State.
A statement by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said five others sustained injuries and have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, adding ” At the same time, the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue”.
The FRSC said the accident involved a white Toyota Camry with registration number AGL36JA.
The agency attributed the cause of the crash to excessive speed and overloading.
FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Akinwumi Fasakin, cautioned motorists against overloading their vehicles with goods or passengers.
He, however, commiserated with the crash victims’ families and wished the injured victims a quick recovery.
