Atiku’s Former Running Mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, Dumps PDP

Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, former Governor of Delta State and the 2023 vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially parted ways with the party.
In a video shared on Wednesday, Okowa informed his constituents about his decision to leave the PDP. Although he did not disclose which political party he would be joining next, there is growing speculation that he may be heading to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This development comes shortly after the current Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, also announced his defection to the APC.
Addressing his supporters in his native language, Okowa assured them of his commitment to making the right decision, saying, “Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction. We will take the best direction, the best path for our people.”
