Burna Boy to perform at the Grammys alongside Dua Lipa, others

Nigerian music superstar Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy will join the lineup of performers for the 2024 Grammys Awards.
On Monday, the Recording Academy announced that the ‘African Giant’ will perform on the stage at the ceremony on February 4th in Los Angeles.
He joins other artists that have been previously revealed; Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Luke Combs, and Travis Scott.
“Burna Boy, Luke Combs, and Travis Scott have been added to the performer lineup for the 2024 GRAMMYs. They join previously announced performers Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo. The 2024 GRAMMYs air live Sunday, Feb. 4, on CBS and Paramount+,” a statement via Grammys’ website said on Monday.
With Burna Boy’s inclusion, this will be the first time an African artist will perform at the prestigious Grammys.
For the 2024 Grammy Awards, Burna Boy was nominated in four categories: Best Melodic Rap Performance (Sittin’ On Top Of The World), Best Global Music Performance (Alone), Best African Music Performance (City Boys), and Best Global Music Album (I Told Them).
The 32-year-old took home the Best Global Music Album for Twice As Tall at the 2021 63rd Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony.
