Nigerian migrant in Tripoli finds shelter and assistance from IOM

A Nigerian migrant, Oziegbe Okoruwa, has found temporary refuge in a shelter provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and he is awaiting the completion of necessary documentation processes that will facilitate his safe return to Nigeria.

The IOM, an intergovernmental organization that provides services and advice concerning migration to governments and migrants alike, has been actively involved in addressing the needs of vulnerable migrants stranded in various regions globally. In Tripoli, the organization operates shelters that offer temporary housing, food, and medical assistance to migrants awaiting voluntary repatriation.

Okoruwa, like many others, embarked on a perilous journey in search of better opportunities but found himself caught in the complex web of migration challenges. The IOM’s intervention provides a lifeline for individuals facing uncertain circumstances, offering them a safe space while the organization collaborates with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and secure return to their home countries.
