Eid al-Adha, known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is one of the most significant holidays in the Islamic calendar. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, an event symbolizing faith, devotion, and mercy.
The occasion is marked by prayers, family gatherings, charitable giving, and festive meals.
Ahmed Musa, a practicing Muslim, is known for frequently using his platform to promote messages of peace, unity, and community spirit.
Off the pitch, Musa has made headlines for his charitable work, including funding education and healthcare projects in his native Nigeria.
The 32-year-old forward, who last played for Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League is a household name in African football.
He holds the record as the country’s most-capped player, with 110 appearances for the national team.
