Warri Concert Organisers set to engage in legal battle against Davido

The Warri Again Concert organizers are preparing for a legal battle with Afrobeats sensation, Davido.
After receiving full payment of $94,600, Davido failed to perform at this year’s concert, leaving the organizers angry.
In a statement released on Sunday, Victor Wokocha, the Project Director of Brownhill Events Inc., the organizers of the concert expressed their disappointment with Davido’s breach of contract.
They have already consulted their legal team for guidance on the next steps.
Davido, however, defended himself on X(formerly Twitter) and Instagram, claiming he had informed the organizers well in advance that he couldn’t attend. He accused them of using his name to promote the event despite knowing he couldn’t make it.
A source close to the organizers refuted Davido’s claims, stating that they only learned of his trip to Australia two days before the event. They challenged him to provide evidence of his supposed prior notification.
While the legal battle looms, the organizers expressed gratitude to sponsors, guests, and other artists who made the 19th edition of the Warri Again Concert a success. They remain committed to improving future editions, promising more great experiences for fans.
