8th EMY Africa Awards; Cobhams Asuquo performs, gets awarded
On Saturday night, reputed Nigerian singer and pianist, Cobhams Asuquo, mesmerized guests at the 8th EMY Africa Awards held in Ghana.
The multi-talented artist, who attended the event, captivated guests with his melodious voice and delivered a captivating performance of “We Plenti” alongside Ghana’s talented artist, Efya.
Cobhams, the talented pianist, captivated the audience with a mixture of songs, including a heartfelt rendition of “Jailer” by the famous Nigerian singer Asa.
In his remarks during the event, Cobhams expressed his excitement, noting that this was his first time attending the EMY Africa Awards, and he was genuinely thrilled to be a part of the celebration.
The 8th EMY Africa Awards, hosted by Nigeria’s Nancy Isime and Ghana’s Nathaniel Attoh, drew a distinguished crowd from both Ghana and Nigeria.
This event is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding African men making significant contributions to the continent.
He was also honoured with the prestigious Man of Courage Award at the EMY Africa Awards.
In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Cobhams reflected on the extraordinary courage it took to navigate the challenges of growing up as a blind individual in Africa during the 1980s.
