Lagos light plane crash: FG commences investigations

โฆurges public to step forward with evidence
An investigation has been launched by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) into an accident on Tuesday involving a Jabiru J430, a light single airplane with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-CCQ.
The plane which was operated by Air First Hospitality and Tours went down around 3 pm on Tuesday, during a test flight within Lagos with two passengers onboard before it crashed around the Oba Akran area of Lagos State with no fatalities.
It was reported that the aircraft caught fire on impact but it did not spread due to the rainfall at the time of impact.
In a statement signed by Tunji Oketunbi on behalf of the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, he said the two persons on board have been taken to the hospital.
However, the Bureau called for information from the general public in the form of pictures, videos, or recordings that were done of the accident as it would be used as evidence to assist in conducting a comprehensive investigation to ascertain what happened.
