Obidients rally at Lekki,other parts of Lagos
Supporters come out in their numbers to support Labour Party candidate,Peter Obi

As part of the Independence Day Celebration, supporters of the Labour Party Presidential candidate,Peter Obi,popularly known as the ‘Obidients’ flocked the Lekki road in a rally.
The supporters came out in their thousands and were seen holding posters with the candidate’s face. The posters had the face of his Vice Presidency candidate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed.
The Obidient movement converged at various strategic points in the state from National stadium,Surulere to Lekki, and from Ikeja to Festac.
A Federal High Court in Lagos had ruled against any forms of rally holding at the Lekki Tollgate. This did not stop the supporters from turning up in their numbers to show their support for the Labour Party candidate.
A Third Force Movement had also appealed to the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to approve the car park of the National Stadium Lagos, for the rally but the appeal was turned down. This series of disappointments did not dampen the spirit of the supporters of Peter Obi as they made do with other locations that were available to them.
