According to the Race Consultant, Lada Ajayi, this year’s race with the theme ‘Your Race Your Pace’ will take place within the capital of Lagos state, Ikeja, as runners are expected to run from ICM Ikeja with the endpoint, the Police College, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
Speaking also with our correspondent, the Athletic Federation of Nigeria route measurer and technical delegate, Wale Olatunji, interested individuals are expected to go to the official website of the race to register for free while confirming that a lot has been put in place to have a successful race.
“We have more than one month to put the finishing touches to everything we are going to do so as to have a successful race,” he said.
“Nigerians are now used to the culture of road races and with the success of other races like the Lagos Marathon, Abeokuta Marathon, Abuja Marathon and others, we are sure of getting another race of high repute in Ikeja.
“However, we are calling on those that are interested to go on the official website and register. It is not just for those running it for the prize money, also those fun runners, organisations with a cause and others should save the date.
