PDP-12 Million spent on building toilets
PDP spends millions in building three toilets with funds gotten from tickets sold at primaries

After it was revealed that about N12 million was used for the construction of three toilets, the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party has worsened considerably.
The amount was said to be part of the money raised from the sale of forms in its primaries for the 2023 elections.
Though the contract for the building of the toilet was said to have been awarded to a national officer of the party, sources said it was polarised by the PDP.
Sources said that some deputy national chairman of the party have been so angered by the development and wondered why such an amount would be spent on three toilets.
The message sent to stakeholders, NEC, BoT and all PDP caucuses was titled, ‘N12 million of struggling PDP members money from form sale spent on three toilets, making it N4 million for one toilet.’
The message read, “Will you all keep quiet to this and other outright corruption, abuse of office, divide and rule in NWC by Senator Ayu?
“The PDP we know under ex-President Obasanjo and Jonathan was a party where Ministers resigned from corruption allegations; a party that the PDP Speaker Dimeji Bankole was in court for corruption under a PDP administration.
“The PDP as a party has zero tolerance to corruption, especially when it becomes public. The party had always been concerned about its public image.
“So what kind of PDP do we have now with Senator Ayu’s outright corruption and abuse of office being celebrated by the enemies of PDP and our Presidential candidate?
“Members want our presidential candidate to win. We have laboured too much for the PDP to allow one man to come and destroy the party and kill the morale of members for our presidential campaign.”
