Abdullahi Haske Receives National Honour For Contributions To Nigeria’s Economic Development

Foremost Adamawa-born industrialist and a renowned philanthropist, and the Group Managing Director, AA & R Investment Limited, Abdullahi Bashir Haske has been conferred with the national honour; Member of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) by the Federal Government in recognition of his selfless contributions to the business ecosystem in Nigeria.

Immediate Past President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) had approved and conferred the 2023 national awards on several deserving and hard-working Nigerians in various categories.

Haske is a co-founder of two Nigerian exploration and production companies, Etihad Oilfield Limited founded in 2016, and Mars Exploration and Production, incorporated in 2019.

While expressing gratitude for the national honour in a recent statement, Haske said: “I am delighted to receive this recognition of the national honour bestowed upon me by the President of Nigeria.

For me, it is yet another great challenge to do more in the areas of consistently putting Nigeria on the global map through innovative contributions to the GDP growth, efficient resource control, and strategic management.

He further added that building large business interests in Nigeria is deeply rooted in the belief that the country has enormous untapped human and natural resources. Emphasising that the decision to focus on Africa’s largest market was to prove to the world that “we have all we need to take the world by storm if the needed machinery is set in motion”.

“I carry our national symbol with me everywhere I go. If you ask me, have I had my fair share of turbulent economic realities? Yes, I have. I still believe this country can be far greater than we see. I will tell you without mincing words that Nigeria is the definition of what it is generally referred to as, the Giant of Africa”

Haske asserted that it takes self-will, determination, and commitment to contribute to the Nigerian project.

Haske’s entrepreneurial genius is reflected in the founding of several companies such as the H & W Rice Company Limited, H & W Starch Derivatives Limited, Nitroswitch Limited, Mars Multiconcept Limited, Manomi Support Services Limited, Etihad Trading Limited, Mars Aviation Limited, H&W Starch Company Limited, and Etihad Energy Limited and the culmination of all the companies under the AA & R Investment Group.

He is a recipient of leadership awards from prestigious African organizations, the African Business Roundtable, and the Rotary Club of Nigeria. He also holds the record of the rising star of the Year at the Nigeria Oil & Gas Awards for his bearing on the Nigerian energy industry.
