Beyonce’s mother files for divorce from actor, Richard Lawson

The mother of superstar singer Beyoncé, Tina Lawson, has filed for divorce from Hollywood actor, Richard Lawson. 

Tina is leaving Lawson after eight years of marriage and she cited the reason for the separation as “irreconcilable differences”.

Documents obtained by TMZ revealed that the mother of two filed on Wednesday and asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to her or Richard.

Rumors of their divorce have been making rounds on the Internet after Lawson’s fans noted that Tina was not present throughout the press tour for his movie, “Black Terror”, which was released last year. 

She had also removed his last name from her Instagram bio, changing it to her former name, Tina Knowles.

Tina was earlier married to Matthew Knowles, from 1980 to 2011. They both shared two children, Beyoncé and Solange.

She divorced Knowles in 2011 after it was discovered that he had had an extramarital affair and fathered a child with his mistress.
