Late Nigeria boxer: Ladipo, Aboderin, boxing family pay condolence visit to family
All the members of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control led by its President, Dr Rafiu Ladipo and Secretary General, Remi Aboderin, Boxers and Promoters on Monday paid a condolence visit to the families of the Nigerian boxer, Olusegun Olanrewsju (Segun Success) in Sango Otta, Ogun State.
While condoling with the family, Dr. Ladipo, popularly called PG (President General) prayed for the repose of the dead while also asking God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
According to the founder o l supporters club in Nigeria, it was a terrible situation, he however said as a body, they are monitoring the situation in Ghana as it continues to unfold.
The Nigerian boxer was reported to have died m after collapsing during a light heavyweight bout in Ghana on Saturday.
Oluwasegun, a former national and West African champion in his weight class, lost consciousness in the third round of his Ghana Professional Boxing League fight against Ghanaian boxer Jon Mbanugu at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
