WBC Silver Light Heavyweight Title: Nigerian Policeman Obinna Aims to Shock the World

The World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Light Heavyweight title fight is set for April 6th, 2024, in the United States. Star Boxing Promotions has put together a clash between American Richard “Popeye the Sailor Man” Rivera (ranked 9th in the world) and Nigeria’s own ASP Mathew Obinna Joseph, also known as “The Wise Man.
Dubbed “SLUGFEST AT THE SUN,” this fight promises fireworks.
Both boxers are known for their punching power, and with an undefeated record of 23-0 with KOs, Obinna is looking to make a statement on American soil.
“This opportunity is a long time coming,” declared Obinna, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) with the Nigerian Police Force. “I’m here to prove I’m the best in this weight class. Rivera won’t have anywhere to hide when we step into the ring on April 6th. I’m bringing the fight, and he’s in for a tough night.”
Obinna, a renowned knockout artist, emphasized his rigorous training for this crucial bout. “I’ve put in the work, and nothing will stop me from claiming that belt on April 6th. All I ask for is the support of the Imo State government, the Nigerian Police Force, and your prayers to make this dream a reality.”
The determined officer also appealed to the US embassy in Nigeria to facilitate visas for his team, expressing his confidence in shocking the world.
