LAGOS NAPHER-SD SET FOR SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP

The National Association for Physical Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD) Lagos State chapter in conjunction with the National Institute for Sports (NIS), has concluded plans for a 3-day Seminar/ Workshop holding 16 to 18 April 2024, at the Gymnasium hall, National Institute for Sports, Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
With Skill Advancement For Lagos State Physical and Health Education Teachers( secondary and primary schools) as the main topic, sub-themes include, Safety Measures in Schools Sports, Sport Data Analytics, Development of Grassroot Sports through Physical Education theory and Practical Lessons, The need for Capacity of today’s Physical Education Teachers to meet Current Challenges and Talent Identification and Development in Schools.
The programme has the Director General of the NIS, Prof. Olawale Moronkola as chairman while Prof. Abiodun Moronfolu, former HOD, Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education, Lagos State University Ojo, is the Keynote speaker.
Dr. Sunday Odior, chairman NAPHER-SD Lagos is the Chief host while Dr. Johnson Williams, the organising committee chairman is the host.
The Special Guest of Honuor is His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State while Hon.
Jamiu Alli- Balogun, the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Lagos State and Hon. Olalekan Fatodu, Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission as Special Guests.
The event begins at 9am daily while 2pm-4pm is for the practical session.
