Senator Ayo Akinyelure has highlighted the facilitation of more than 750 Federal Government employment opportunities for graduates from the senatorial district as part of his scorecard ahead of the 2027 election.

Akinyelure, who represented Ondo Central in the 7th and 9th Senates, said the beneficiaries, drawn from different higher institutions, secured positions across Federal Government ministries, departments, agencies, parastatals and other institutions during his tenure.

The former lawmaker said the employment intervention was one of several constituency initiatives undertaken during his years in the National Assembly, covering the six local government areas in Ondo Central.

According to him, the projects and interventions are part of his record of representation, which he intends to present to constituents as the 2027 senatorial election approaches.

Some beneficiaries of the employment intervention have reportedly continued to express appreciation for the former senator, with some supporting his campaign through the donation of campaign materials.

Akinyelure has challenged other candidates seeking the Ondo Central senatorial seat to also present their records to the electorate for scrutiny ahead of the election.

He said the electorate should be allowed to assess the records, programmes and proposals of all candidates before making their choice.

The former senator’s employment record is expected to form part of his campaign narrative as he seeks to return to the National Assembly in 2027.
