FRSC cautions against speeding following auto crash in Benue

The Benue State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), has cautioned motorists against speeding to avoid the consequences that follow it.
This warning comes at the heels of an auto crash that happened at Ngido village along Katsina-Ala-Zaki Biam Road on Wednesday where no fewer than 12 people were reportedly killed.
Confirming the accident to journalists in Makurdi on Wednesday, the Sector Commander of FRSC, Steve Ayodele, said eight people were killed in the crash.
He said, “It’s a multiple accident involving two vehicles and it was fatal. 10 persons were involved – four female adults, one male adult, and one female child.
“Out of the 10, eight people died. Four female adults three male adults and one female child. Two persons were injured and were taken to the Kastina-Ala General Hospital for medical attention.
“It was a head-on collision; one of the vehicles was trying to avoid a pothole and rammed into an oncoming vehicle. I guess it was as a result of speeding otherwise they would have been able to manoeuvre their way.
