Sadio Mane marries girlfriend days to AFCON 2023

On January 7th, Senegalese and former Liverpool striker Sadio Mane, 31, and his 18-year-old girlfriend, Aisha Tamba, got married in a private ceremony in Senegal.
The wedding reportedly took place in Dakar, just days before the Africa Cup of Nations, where Mane will be representing Senegal.
The intimate event, attended by family, friends, and fellow footballers, showcased the couple’s joy in official wedding photos shared on @SMane_Officiel.
Aisha, who is the daughter of an architect, and Mane, who left Bayern Munich to join Al-Nassr last summer, were seen holding hands and posing with a floral backdrop.
The Senegalese footballer, known for his philanthropy, has transformed his home village with contributions exceeding £700,000, funding projects like a hospital, mosque, school, and more. Aisha, a student at Cabis School, reportedly speaks Mandingo, the language shared by her and Mane.
The couple, both private individuals, share the same religion, Islam. Mane had expressed his desire for a wife who “respects God and prays well” back in 2022. Aisha, who caught Mane’s eye at 16, has remained off social media, staying committed to her studies as Mane prepares for AFCON with Senegal.
Mane, who joined Al-Nassr with a £650,000-per-week deal, has scored 12 times in 26 appearances since his move.
