Buhari orders Immigration to make Nigeria borders impenetrable ahead of 2023 election

The President of Nigeria,Muhammadu Buhari, has ordered the Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS) to make the country’s border impenetrable to infiltrators in light of the forthcoming election.
This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, January 31st.
The Minister, Rauf Aregebesola, through his Media Adviser, Sola Fasure, passed Buhari’s directive while inaugurating the Katsina NIS command office and the roll-out of the enhanced e-Passport in the state.
He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered that Nigerian borders should be made impenetrable to foreign bodies who might want to come in and manipulate the election process or engage in other nefarious activities.”
According to Aregbesola, the President’s order is between now and the period that Nigeria concludes all the elections, the NIS should make the country’s borders impregnable, even after the elections.
